The Blossomland Learning Center Library offers a variety of educational activities that support student knowledge and growth. The library is equipped with books that range from picture books to simple sentences and on to chapter books. The books range in skill levels. Audio books are also available for students who are auditory learners or just enjoy listening to the stories.
The following are also stored in the library for students who may need to work on other skills to support English Language Arts: Felt story boards, alphabet matching boards, Tag readers, story sequencing cards, and Caliphone Card Reader system. In addition, activities utilizing manipulatives are also available for students who rely heavily upon kinesthetic learning. These include sorters, alphabet cubes, alphabet lacing letters, and bead stringing.
The library provides a setting that encourages students to relax, enjoying a thematic design including a castle, a knight in shining armor, and a dragon rug. Shields designed by our students are suspended from the ceiling. It provides a mythical environment to relax and enjoy reading.
